A sole proprietorship has no commercial register entry, no share capital and no managing directors, so those fields are absent because they do not exist — not because they were left out.

It is the address for all of it — support, licences, refunds, bug reports, data-protection requests under the GDPR, and formal legal notice. Mail is normally answered within two business days, in English or German. There is no telephone number and no contact form standing between you and the mailbox.

Galley is sold through Polar Software, Inc. (Polar) as merchant of record. That means Polar — not us — is the seller in your purchase contract: they take the payment, apply and remit the VAT or sales tax due in your country, and issue your invoice. The licence to use Galley is granted by Roman Moor.

There is no link to the EU online dispute resolution platform here, on purpose. The European Commission shut that platform down on 20 July 2025. Imprints across Germany still link to it; the link goes nowhere, and pointing you at a dead service would be worse than saying so.

Under § 36 VSBG: we are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. That is the standard answer, and it costs you nothing — write to us first. Every complaint reaches the person who wrote the software, and the 30-day refund on the terms page is unconditional, which is a faster remedy than any arbitration board.

As a service provider we are responsible for our own content on these pages under § 7 (1) DDG. Under §§ 8 to 10 DDG we are not obliged to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information, or to investigate circumstances that indicate unlawful activity.

This site links to a small number of external sites — our merchant of record, our processors, and font-industry references. We checked them when we linked them; we have no control over what they publish afterwards and take no responsibility for their content. Tell us about a link that has gone bad and we will remove it.

The content of this site, the Galley application and its source code are protected by German copyright law. Galley is not open source. What you may do with the software is set out in the licence terms — which are more permissive than most, and which explicitly do not pretend to forbid what §§ 69d and 69e UrhG allow you to do anyway.

The typefaces, sources and reports you open, produce or export with Galley are yours. We claim no right in them, and no copy of them ever reaches us.
